You never imagined it would come to this. Years of careful preparation, stockpiling food, water, and supplies, now gone, either stolen or rendered useless by the chaos of a SHTF event. Whether it was a blackout, an EMP strike, or the collapse of essential services, you are suddenly thrust into a world where survival is the only law.  The person you were before, who followed rules and lived by a moral code, seems almost unrecognizable. Hunger gnaws at you, and fear is constant. At some point, you realize that scavenging or even being a looter is no longer an abstract…

The development is not a surprise and is an evolution of an ongoing trend. As survivors fade, their…

The full Ninth Circuit will reconsider a lower court ruling that struck down California’s ammunition background check requirements. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has reinstated California’s ammunition background check law, setting aside earlier rulings that found the statute unconstitutional. In a brief order, the court granted a rehearing en banc in Rhode v. Bonta, which vacates both a federal district court injunction and a three-judge panel’s decision striking down the law. Olympic gold medalist Kim Rhode and other plaintiffs filed the challenge in 2018, targeting key provisions of Proposition 63 and Senate Bill 1235. Those measures banned home delivery…

The head of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Commissioner Marty Makary, claimed that the Biden administration withheld data from the public on the risks of myocarditis from the COVID-19 vaccine. When Japanese planes attacked Pearl Harbor on the morning of Dec. 7, 1941, Philip M. Rasmussen was a 23-year-old second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Assigned to the 46th Pursuit Squadron at Wheeler Field on the island of Oahu, he was one of the few American pilots to get into the air while enemy planes were still in the skies over Hawaii. Rasmussen, who would be awarded a Silver Star for his actions that day, went on to fly many other combat missions in World War II, including a bombing run over Japan, for which he later received…

Centurion Arms is bringing back one of the most respected precision carbines ever fielded by U.S. Special Operations, the Mk12. Initially developed by Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane as the Special Purpose Receiver, the platform proved so capable that it was later type-classified as its own rifle: the MK12 Mod 0/1. Built around the 77-grain Mk262 round, the Mk12 delivered accuracy and reach few believed possible from a 5.56 carbine. It became a defining DMR concept in modern U.S. SOF history, known for pushing effective engagement distances far beyond standard carbine expectations. Now, Centurion Arms is making that capability accessible,…

Early one morning in fall 1941 Takeo Yoshikawa encoded a brusque telegram for the Japanese foreign ministry’s home office in Tokyo. In its entirety, the message read: “Details unclear.” It was an admission of failure, and Yoshikawa’s apparent testiness is easy to understand. The 27-year-old intelligence officer had spent much of the previous evening submerged in the shallows of Oahu’s Mamala sey, attempting to study submarine barriers at the entrance to Pearl Harbor, only to come away with nothing but a deep chill. His superiors in Japan had ordered him to get information on the barriers’ dimensions, formidability, and operation. Lacking…

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth defended strikes on alleged drug cartel boats during remarks Saturday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, saying President Donald Trump has the power to take military action “as he sees fit” to defend the nation.Hegseth dismissed criticism of the strikes, which have killed more than 80 people and now face intense scrutiny over concerns that they violated international law. Saying the strikes are justified to protect Americans, Hegseth likened the fight to the war on terror following the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.“If you’re working for a designated terrorist organization and you bring drugs to this country…
