The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has launched an agonizing effort to end vaccine exemptions, eliminating parental rights, and consent in the process. If successful, this would end non-medical vaccine exemptions,  stripping parents of their right to consent to medical interventions for their children. Beef ranchers in Mexico have been struggling with a parasite called a “screwworm”. The flesh-eating parasite has been infecting cattle to the point that the United States has banned entry into the country from Mexican-raised beef cattle.
