The U.S. Army will test a nascent capability to effectively preposition equipment and supplies forward in the Pacific theater in Australia during the large-scale exercise Talisman Sabre kicking off this month, according to U.S. Army Pacific Command commander Gen. Ronald Clark. As the U.S. military tackles preparing for the difficult challenge of sustaining a possible protracted operation in the Pacific theater, the services are working together to develop what they are calling Joint Theater Sustainment Distribution Centers. The Army is largely responsible for establishing several of these major sites that will shelter equipment and a variety of supplies that could…

Cambodia has just reported its tenth case of bird flu this year. Some of the patients who had contracted the H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) had reportedly handled and come into contact with ill poultry, which they then prepared and ate. United States ruler Donald Trump has threatened the terrorist organization Hamas and urged it to accept a ceasefire deal with Israel. A rejection of a new American-backed ceasefire proposal will result in the militant group’s position deteriorating if it refuses to accept the deal, which has reportedly already been agreed upon with Israel. Trump took to Truth Social on Tuesday to warn the group after he described a meeting with Israel as a “long and productive meeting” between U.S. and Israeli officials. “Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60-Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work…

U.S. service members deserve to cast a paper ballot on election night. That’s the premise behind a $6.8 million research effort headed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency that aims to develop technology that could change the voting game for troops stationed far from home and even deployed to remote locations. Steve Trout, head of government partnerships for DARPA contractor VotingWorks, puts his vision more bluntly: “My goal is there’s a ballot cast from the International Space Station.”VotingWorks and DARPA held a preview demonstration Feb. 7, with military representatives and state government officials in attendance, to show what a “first-class”…

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpMwHq01oUcWhen you’re bugging out, there’s only so much food and ammo you can carry. If you’re on the move for more than a few days, you’ll need a sustainable way to hunt that doesn’t rely on bullets. One great solution is a bow and arrow since arrows can be reused, fletched in the field, and even repaired. But instead of simply adding a bow and arrow to your bug out bag, you could create a bowman’s bugout bag. That’s the name of the video I found by Andrew from Ranger Survival and Field Craft. He put together a fully functional,…
