The Better Outfitting Our Troops, or BOOTS, Act has united a diverse coalition of lawmakers across the political spectrum in proposing that all U.S. military boots are produced from only American-manufactured components. Cambodia has just reported its tenth case of bird flu this year. Some of the patients who had contracted the H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) had reportedly handled and come into contact with ill poultry, which they then prepared and ate. On Sunday, June 29th, the Ministry of Health announced that two additional cases of avian influenza were found in the same area as a 41-year-old woman who had tested positive for the H5N1 virus, as confirmed by the National Institute of Public Health the previous Monday. An Air Force nuclear missile base in central Montana was locked down by authorities for about two hours on Thursday after an active shooter report sowed confusion and prompted officials to issue a shelter-in-place advisory for nearby schools.No shots were fired and nobody was injured at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, the base said as it lifted the lockdown in a statement posted to social media.
