Centurion Arms is bringing back one of the most respected precision carbines ever fielded by U.S. Special Operations, the Mk12. Initially developed by Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane as the Special Purpose Receiver, the platform proved so capable that it was later type-classified as its own rifle: the MK12 Mod 0/1.

Built around the 77-grain Mk262 round, the Mk12 delivered accuracy and reach few believed possible from a 5.56 carbine. It became a defining DMR concept in modern U.S. SOF history, known for pushing effective engagement distances far beyond standard carbine expectations.

Now, Centurion Arms is making that capability accessible, built to spec, ready for the field.

Configure Your Mk12 Setup

Centurion Arms’ Mk12 lineup stays true to the rifle’s fielded heritage with mil-spec Type III anodized uppers featuring M4 feed ramps and numbered top rails, paired with an 18-inch match-grade stainless SPR-contour barrel optimized for the 77-grain Mk262 round. The barrel is free-floated, threaded, and fitted with the correct OPS Inc. collar, delivering the precision and consistency the platform is known for.

Buyers can configure their build as a Mod 0 or Mod 1, choosing between PRI’s Gen III handguard and SPR top rail or the KAC M4 Match Free-Float RAS. Sight options follow the same lineage, offering PRI and ARMS #40 for Mod 0 or KAC flip-ups for Mod 1.

The rifle supports the original Nightforce 2.5–10x optic and is compatible with the OPS Inc. 12th Model or Allen Engineering AEM5 suppressor systems, completing a truly authentic Mk12 package built around Mk262 performance.

Carrying Forward a SOF Legacy

Purpose-built and battle-tested, the Mk12 earned its reputation by delivering accuracy far beyond what many thought possible from 5.56.

Centurion Arms carries that legacy forward with a build engineered around the 77-grain Mk262 OTM and built with the same uncompromising detail that defined the original rifle.
