A Colorado-based gun-rights organizations is calling on President Donald Trump to fire U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi for what the group’s leaders call her “relentless anti-gun actions.”

The National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) sent an email to members late last week alerting members that the organization is calling for Bondi’s firearm.

“Those are not words that we take lightly—but Pam Bondi has given us no choice,” NAGR President Dudley Brown wrote in the action alert. “While we all had major concerns with the nomination of Pam Bondi as Attorney General, we hoped for the best and that she would prove a staunch advocate for the right to keep and bear arms. Unfortunately, it’s been NINE MONTHS since Bondi was confirmed, and it has become increasingly evident that she has failed the Second Amendment.”

AG Pam Bondi Misses Second Amendment Executive Order Deadline

To bolster his case, Brown cited a number of different actions Bondi has taken concerning the Second Amendment.

“Rather than repealing the Biden-era ‘engaged in the business’ ATF rule that gave the ATF a blank check to crack down on private firearm sales, Bondi’s DOJ has ‘reviewed’ the rule for months while still enforcing it against gun owners,” Brown wrote. “Meanwhile, her DOJ repeatedly asks the courts to delay the legal challenges that could bring relief for gun owners.”

Brown also wrote,  “Bondi’s DOJ is advocating for LIFETIME GUN BANS for nonviolent offenses.”

AG Pam Bondi Creates 2A Task Force

“Bondi’s DOJ asked the Supreme Court NOT to restore the rights of nonviolent felons (Vincent v. Bondi), and instead advocated for federal law to continue stripping gun rights from nonviolent offenders FOR LIFE.”

Other grievances included the DOJ’s support for gun bans for 18-, 19- and 20-year-old adults, and, most recently, “attacking” gun rights groups.

“And now we have the most egregious of them all; directly attacking national gun rights organizations by demanding their private membership lists,” Brown wrote. “In that very same lawsuit challenging handgun purchase rights for 18-20-yearolds, McCoy v. ATF, Bondi’s DOJ argued for a two-tiered classification of gun owners—those who belong to the plaintiff gun rights organizations, and those who don’t. Then, Bondi’s DOJ argued that they had to know who the members of those gun rights organizations were so the DOJ could be sure to protect THEIR rights—and only their rights.”

Senators Press Bondi Over ATF ‘Corruption’

Ultimately, Brown wrote that Bondi’s anti-2A actions have far surpassed those in which she supported the Second Amendment.

“To be fair, Bondi’s DOJ has done some good things for the Second Amendment as well—but those things are increasingly dwarfed by the ongoing and active harms this DOJ continues to perpetuate against gun rights,” he wrote. “The absolute baseline rule for a pro-gun attorney general should be to FIRST DO NO HARM to gun rights—and in Pam Bondi’s case not only has her DOJ continued Biden-era gun controls, but is actively working behind the scenes against gun rights.”

Interestingly, Assistant Attorney General Harmeet J. Dhillon has come to Bondi’s defense.

“Our @AGPamBondi is the most pro-2A AG in US history, and this is a very bad take on many levels,”  Dhillon posted on X, formerly Twitter. “According to the video, the supposed ‘straw that broke the camel’s back’ is that DOJ asked a federal court to require pro-2A groups to submit lists of their members. That is false.”
