Bill Hemmer of Fox News discussed Israel’s war against Hamas, starvation claims in Gaza, and plans to take full control of the Gaza Strip after the conflict with the current ruler. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in the interview on Thursday that Israel has no intention of keeping Gaza or “governing” the region. Netanyahu has repeatedly said that he wants to eliminate Hamas in Gaza.

“We intend to, in order to ensure our security, remove Hamas there, enable the population to be free of Gaza [Hamas] and to pass it to civilian governance that is not Hamas and not anyone advocating the destruction of Israel,” Fox News quoted the prime minister as saying.

Netanyahu Drafts A Plan To Annex Gaza

Netanyahu insisted that Israel doesn’t “want to keep [Gaza],” but rather “have a security perimeter.” He added that “we don’t want to be there as a governing body, we want to hand it over to Arab forces that will govern it properly.”

In February, United States President Donald Trump proposed a plan envisioning the relocation of the Gaza population to neighboring states of “great wealth.” He also suggested that the U.S. could use its military might to take over and seize the land from Palestine.

Donald Trump: The U.S. Will Take Over The Gaza Strip

Trump did not rule out deploying U.S. troops to Gaza either. The war-mongering is ratcheting up to a whole new level. “If it’s necessary, we’ll do that,” Trump said of using the military to take control of the Gaza Strip.  “I do see a long-term ownership position, and I see it bringing great stability to that part of the Middle East,” he said. He described his vision as transforming Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East.” –SHTFPlan

So far, that idea has yet to come to fruition and a ceasefire seems unlikely.

The Jewish state and the militant group agreed to a fragile three-stage ceasefire in January, only for Israel to resume military action in March amid mutual recriminations with Hamas. Since then, the two belligerents have sporadically engaged in talks, which have failed to yield any breakthrough. –RT
