Units within the Air Force Global Strike Command were directed to cease use of a communications system at an intercontinental ballistic missile base after tests found residue of a carcinogenic chemical on one of the systems.Personnel were told to stop use of the AN/PRM-10 test oscillator set, a signal generator, after an airman assigned to F.E. Elements of the 82nd Airborne Division will remain deployed in the Central Command area of operations for a total of one year, according to a memorandum signed on Sunday. The deployment extension will keep parts of the division’s headquarters, artillery, sustainment brigade, 3rd Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment and 307th Engineer Battalion in the Middle East for a year.
